"What makes this watercolor so unusual are two things: first, it was a very early image of the tugboat Little Toot before my father wrote the classic children's book, and second, it is more abstract than many of Dad's paintings. One can picture the river, the tugboats, the buildings of New York City, but there is less detail than in some of his watercolors."
