One of Patrick's specialties was camouflage and Ariel deception. Some of the tools used by the Army Air Corp. in WWII were inventions of his. A large group of canvas aircraft were set up on air strips away from the real aircraft. The actual aircraft were then disguised with camouflage to deceive any enemy attacks.
