A California art print on Arches watercolor paper. 100% archival, and printed in HD.
This magnificent and awesome tree is the sixth in the series and was on the cover of Westways magazine issue of June 1940. The Sequoia should be listed as one of the world's greatest wonders. It undoubtedly is the most impressive of creatures in the California forest. It represents the world's oldest and largest living thing, with some growing as high as 331 feet and over 2000 years old. This particular lithograph was selected to be shown at the First National Exhibition of Prints by American Artists held in Washington D.C. in 1943.
It was awarded Second Purchase prize and is permanently hung in the Library of Congress as part of the Pennel Collection.
