"This was an illustration for True Magazine in its February 1946 issue and was exhibited in a one-man show at Barry Stephens' gallery in 1945. It is one of the largest watercolors Dad ever painted. We hadn't moved to Connecticut yet, so I'm not sure where in the NYC area Dad went to paint the sailboats. In 1989 it was shown at the Bergen Museum of Art & Science."
