Millard Sheets led a dynamic studio of artists who created memorable art for Home Savings and Loan and other businesses throughout southern California. This video tells the story of Sheets's vision, Howard Ahmanson and Hernando Courtright as his patrons, and the meaning of this artwork for generations of residents and visitors to Beverly Hills. The two watercolors featured in this documentary are from our collection, Gaviota Range, 1932, and Path of Light, Newport Pier, 1927.
