"The spontaneous freshness of watercolor is a delight to me as a viewer. As an artist, it is an endless struggle. It is impossible for me to know, as I face a blank white sheet, what the final result will be. I do love the way watercolors flow, blending colors on the paper. The subject takes on a new meaning and direction as I paint, and can be very rewarding." Victor de Beck
