Miri has lived in the High Sonoran Desert for many years, where she finds inspiration for her vibrant and textured paintings of modern riders of the contemporary Southwest. Her work is bold and spontaneous, yet gentle and elusive. She uses intricate splashes of turquoise, gamboge and vermellion. Collectors and lovers of the wild and treacherous Southwest respond to her work with applause. They take delight in her renditions of the native Chain Fruit Cholla, Indian Paintbrush, Strawberry Hedge Hog, and distant mountain vistas.
