Frank LaLumia Biography
Frank LaLumia (Contemporary) Born in Chicago in 1948. Educated at Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois, and the American Academy of Art, Chicago., Signature Member and current President of the Plein Air Painters of America (P.A.P.A), Signature Member of the American Watercolor Society (A.W.S.), the Oil Painters of America (O. P. A.), the National Watercolor Society (N.W.S.), the Transparent Watercolor Society of America (T.W.S.A.), Artist-Member of the California Art Club. Author of the book PLEIN AIR PAINTING IN WATERCOLOR AND OIL, North Light Publications. Featured in the P.B.S Series PLEIN AIR: PAINTING THE AMERICAN LANDSCAPE, Work in the permanent collection of the Museum of New Mexico, Santa Fe, the Albuquerque Museum, as well as numerous Museum, Corporate, and Private Collections World-wide. Winner of numerous National and Regional Awards, including Best of Show, Aquarius National Watermeda 2010 Exhibition, Pueblo CO, Best of Show, San Antonio Museum of Art, Texas Watercolor Society 50th Annual Exhibition; the Wildlife Award, 2001 Arts for the Parks Annual Exhibition, Jackson, WY.
