Yes, California Watercolor is a well-established gallery that has been in business since 1991. was established in the year 2000, and has been a leader in high-end California and American paintings for decades.

Our traffic: Pick any 30 day period and our website is viewed by thousands of art enthusiasts, collectors, and museum curators alike. These visitors come from over 110 countries worldwide, and although global exposure is a plus, our domestic audience is booming. Thousands of visitors from all 50 states are represented on a monthly basis, with the majority of our traffic coming from major metropolitan areas within California (i.e. San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego). Keep in mind, online traffic is nice, but quality online traffic is even better. A large percentage of our audience are affluent individuals with the means of purchasing fine art. 

2. Does it benefit me to display my artwork on the same website as the California Masters?

Yes, our website currently has over 2,300 paintings by 200 of California's top 20th Century artists. Many of the paintings on are regularly exhibited in major museums throughout the country.

Building your own website is definitely a good idea, and highly recommended, but joining an established art community is even better. For example: if a visitor from Connecticut is looking for Hardie Gramatky (a renowned Disney artist), there’s a good chance they'll see your paintings too.

3. Do I need a PayPal account to join THE ART MARKET

Yes, you will need a PayPal account to join. We use PayPal to automatically transfer profits from your art sales.

4. Once I make a sale, when do I get paid?

We automatically deposit your profits into your PayPal account on a weekly basis, so you don't need to wait by the mailbox for a check.

5. Do I need to be a watercolorist to join THE ART MARKET?

No, we are interested in all types of fine art, as long as you can hang it on the wall.
