Linda in Front Yard, (Westport), 1947, an original watercolor painting by California artist Hardie Gramatky. This artwork is available as a fine art giclée print on Arches watercolor paper.
"Dad noted that he'd given this painting to my mother, Doppy. His first title was `My Front Yard' and it was exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1949. Dad was honored to be elected one of 24 full Academicians in 1950. The National Academy had begun accepting watercolorists only four years previously and has kept the number to 25 members in the `aquarellist' category. This scene is of me at age 4 in the front yard of our Westport house (where my husband and I now live). It was shown at the Bergen Museum of Art & Science n 1989."
