Painted on site in a valley west of Salinas, California. Another painting "holiday" into Northern California. He spent the time painting and making preliminary sketches of the Monterey Cypress trees on the coast in preparation for a lithograph he was working on. This watercolor was shown at the Jake Zeitlin
