"In December 1977, my father was invited to give two talks to children on the Norwegian cruise ship the Kungsholm, and in return was allowed to have his wife, daughter (me), son-in-law (Kendall Smith) and the two grandchildren (Andrew and Tina) come for the 15-day cruise over Christmas. It was an amazing experience and friends from Findlay, Ohio, surprised us by signing up as well. One of the stops was Martinique, and Dad sketched and photographed the harbor from the Kungsholm's decks. Shown in a retrospective exhibit after Dad died (from cancer in April 1979), I mistakenly named this `St. Thomas Harbor' but luckily a few years later I found Dad's slides and could correct my error!"
