Exhibited: Portrait of America, 1944, presented by Artists for Victory, Inc., sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Company.

"The 150 paintings in this exhibition were selected by a jury, elected by delegates from member societies of Artists-for-Victory, Inc., from about 5,000 canvases submitted in the "Portrait-of-America" competition which was open to all American artists. It is felt that this exhibition is representative of contemporary American painting." A copy of the exhibition catalog can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Libraries.
