About James March Phillips

James March Phillips (1913-1981) Born: Fresno, California; Studied: Turner Art Center (San Francisco). James March Phillips studied art in San Francisco. His intructors were Alfred Owles and Louis Rogers, both well-known illustrators. During the 1940s and 1950s, Phillips produced watercolor and gouache paintings depicting california landscape and seascape subjects. His works were sold at art galleries in Northern California.   (Read More)
