More About This Painting
This watercolor was painted late summer somewhere in the foothills of San Bernardino. The artist did several watercolors in the Yucaipa / Mentone area over the years, as his wife’s parents lived in Redlands and they would visit there often.

James Patrick grew up in Southern California and attended high school in Hollywood. In the late 1920s, he received a three-year scholarship to study at the Chouinard Art Institute.
