"Ruth Adams, a longtime Westporter, sold her antique family home to Martha Stewart in the 80s and Martha restored The Adams Homestead to perfection. She had bought this painting of a train station in Westport, in a section called Green's Farms, directly from my father. The station looks very similar to Dad's painting of 60 years ago and I love the black cat walking across the lot. When Miss Adams died about seven years ago, her niece (Robin Youngdahl) lovingly gave the watercolor back to us so that we and others could continue to enjoy it."
