More About This Painting
"Apparently my father painted this from the window of his studio on the second floor of our home. Charlie Gampfer, the farmer across the street, is waiting out in front of our house with me (pigtails) and older children waiting for a school bus. We only owned beagles, so I'm not sure which child owned the black dog."

Hardie Gramatky was raised in Southern California. He studied art with F. Tolles Chamberlin, Clarence Hinkle, Pruett Carter and Barse Miller.
