More About This Painting
"Before Dad completed his contract with Walt Disney (leaving a salary of $150 a week, a fortune in the middle of the Depression, to move with Mom to NYC and make his mark as an illustrator), he and Mom made some sample illustrations to take in their portfolios. This is one that he did, making up a story in his head and seeing how he would illustrate it. I love the movement in this piece and have fun making up my own story about what’s happening. This piece was shown at the Bergen Museum of Art & Science in 1991."
