About Franz Bergmann

Franz Bergmann (1898–1970) Born: Dimling, Austria; Studied: National Academy of Fine Arts (Vienna); Member: San Francisco Art Association. By the late 1930s, Franz Bergmann was a resident of Mill Valley, and was exhibiting his watercolor paintings in annual museum shows in the San Francisco area. He worked as an art instructor at the California School of Fine Arts and also as a mural artist, author and illustrator of children’s books.   (Read More)
