Horace S. Page, A.W.S (1913-1997) Born: Parowan, UT; Studied: California College of Arts and Crafts (Oakland); Member: American Watercolor Society, Society of Western Artists. Horace Page grew up in Utah and moved to the San Francisco area with his family during the 1920s. At that time, he received art instruction from Hamilton Wolf and Maurice Logan. He also began to produce watercolor paintings during this period. After serving in World War II, he continued his art education at the American University in England, then returned to settle in the San Francisco area.

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, he painted on location with a small group of artists including Maurice Logan and Harold Gretzner. They were all living in the Oakland area and usually chose to paint depictions of local cityscape subjects or dock scenes near the estuary.

Page primarily exhibited his watercolors in Northern California and on the East Coast in annual American Watercolor Society shows. In addition, his works were selected to travel around the United States in art association traveling shows.
