Jade Fon (1911-1983) Born: San Jose, CA; Studied: University of Arizona, Art Students League (Los Angeles); Member: American Watercolor Society, California Water Color Society. Jade Fon grew up in Winslow, Arizona. During the 1930s, he moved to Los Angeles where he continued his education at the Art Students League and exhibited his paintings as a member of the California Water Color Society.

After the mid-1940s, he lived in the San Francisco area. Between 1940 and 1955, he also worked as a night club entertainer and occasionally produced commercial illustrations. In the 1970s, he was an art instructor and founder of a highly successful watercolor workshop in Asilomar.
