David Blower (1901-1976) Born Fontanet, IN; Studied: Wicker School of Fine Arts (Detroit), Academie de la Grande Chaumiere (Paris), Academie Colarossi (Paris). David Blower began exhibiting his watercolors on a professional level about 1933. His California paintings depict farm scenes, cityscapes of Los Angeles and beach scenes painted along the Pacific Coast. He worked with transparent watercolors in a loose, bold style. He also worked as a commercial illustrator from 1930 to 1960. |
