James March Phillips (1913-1981) Born: Fresno, California; Studied: Turner Art Center (San Francisco). James March Phillips studied art in San Francisco. His intructors were Alfred Owles and Louis Rogers, both well-known illustrators. During the 1940s and 1950s, Phillips produced watercolor and gouache paintings depicting california landscape and seascape subjects. His works were sold at art galleries in Northern California. |
