Millard Sheets

Millard Sheets was a native California artist and grew up in the Pomona Valley near Los Angeles. By nineteen years of age, he was elected into membership with the California Watercolor Society, and in 1946 served as a president. He is recognized as a leading figure behind the California Style watercolor movement. Millard Sheets died on March 31, 1989 in Gualala, California.
